Another new show from Futility Radio!

The much vaunted podcast - Cadmium II - is finally available. The point of this new show is to look in detail at British Cult TV, Film and Radio, and we have a lot of ground to cover!

In this first show, we examine the first ever episode of Doctor Who, entitled An Unearthly Child from 1963. Future topics include shows such as TimeSlip, cult radio such as The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, and even some movies, including some James Bond!

The website for the new show can be found by clicking here, at the moment we are in the process of registering the show with iTunes, but you can subscribe by opening iTunes first then clicking here. The show does not have an explicit tag, (we bleep out the occasion profanity) but the show has the same light hearted feel that makes Sending a Wave so much fun to listen to.

The email address for Cadmium II is cadmium2@futilityradio.com. Please send us some feedback or suggestions about the show.

The next Sending a Wave should arrive before the weekend... fingers crossed!!

Big Damn News from Firefly Store and a correction for the Joe Murphy Memorial Fund

We have some very exciting news; our good friends over at the FireflyStore (www.fireflystore.net) are currently raising money for Equality Now with their "Big Damn Draw" raffle. Amongst the many coveted and extremely shiny prizes on offer is the chance to join us on the sofa and be a guest presenter on the show either in person or via telephone. We will be making announcement within the next couple of shows about how to up your chances of being a winner for any of the fabulous prizes on offer. The raffle will continue until October where it is presently planned for the draw to take place as part of the Serenity LA convention organised by Starfury.

You've already listened to our latest show and I hope you've enjoyed listening to Devin and a small number of the worldwide organisers for this years Can't Stop The Serenity screenings and much as Andrew and I enjoyed talking to them; however Brian from Arizona made a slight mistake on the Joe Murphy Memorial Fund website - which as it was not long after 6:00am his time was perfectly understandable - and he has requested that we post the correct address: http://joemurphymemorialfund.org/. Joe died of cancer and has been a loss to both the Farpoint Media family and podcasting in general; he never lost his sense of humour concerning his illness, something that was embraced by his closest friends and listeners to "Michael and Evo's Wingin' It".

Show 19 now available!

The first of this months two shows is now available - in this episode we look into the Can't Stop the Serenity charity event.

We have already spoken to Global Coordinator Devin Pike a few shows ago, he is back to give us a bit of an update - live from his Honeymoon, what a great bloke!

We also speak to people involved in seven of the local showings around the globe, from the Oxford Screening to Sydney Australia, and many countries in between. Thanks very much to everyone who spoke to us, visit the the Can't Stop The Serenity website to find out where your local screening is.
The event is to raise money for the Equality now charity. If you do not know what this charity is for, click onto their website for more information. For those of you living in the UK, the recent news story involving the honour killing of a twenty year old Curdish girl by her family illustrates perfectly what this charity is about. If you would like to know more about this new story, click here to read it on the BBC News website.
To listen to the show, subscribe via iTunes or your podcatching software (the details are on the right) or download it direct by clicking here.
If you go to a screening, and are able to report back on the event we would love to hear from you, email us on the address on the right to let us know.
See you later in the month for our second show,
Wendy, Toni and Andrew

Nathan Fillion "super secret" revealed!

Finally, the reason for Nathan Fillion's recent visit to London has been revealed. He has been collaborating with reknowned artist, Martin Firrell on a new project entitled, "Hero".

Martin released this first look at the project this week and go here to view and also have the opportunity to sign up for mail updates and tickets (when they become available). Martin is also interested in your views and thoughts on the subject which could very well be incorporated into the piece as he continues to develop and hone the project for it's presentation later this year.
